I Promise...

So I PROMISE that this will not become the daily subject matter of my blog, but for now, I want to respond to some of the comments to yesterday's post and I'm still a little giddy, so I want to share some more about the Sex and the City Movie sequel...

Since I promise to not continue posting about this subject, if you are interested in further details, I'm getting my pictures and info from London's Daily Mail online.

First, yes, yes, yes! There is a sequel!!! It has just started filming and is set to come out May 2010. I had thought that was a really long time away and then had the realization that next year is 2010. 2010! Where has a freaking decade gone? I remember people hording food and money convinced the world was about to crash down on us. Anyway, that my friends is really a post for another day, but I'm at least excited that May 2010 isn't near as far away as I initially thought!

I'm guessing that this photo means there is a "Carrie flash back to the 80's" scene
in the upcoming movie... maybe her coming to the big apple?

Second, Ann (and anyone else in her predicament)... you MUST get yourself to Blockbuster and rent the movie. I think it is probably enjoyable even if you weren't an ardent follower the series.

Here is SJP wearing a fabulous dress in a very regal purple...
Hello Mr. Big...
and again...
and again... there is no such thing as too much Mr. Big in my opinion
and they have started to film Miranda scenes also...
As to your response Robin about having seen the movie a zillion times, me too. I have seen every episode a zillion times and the movie too. I have seen each episode so many times that when I see a shortened and edited episode on regular t.v., I can spot a sentence, a scene, whatever that is cut out and it drives me crazy.
I will of course probably see this movie a zillion times too. Probably multiple times on opening day just like last time (Lisa, put in your time off request now)

I am a lurker and love your blog but you have finally posted a topic I just have to de-lurk and address. I heart SITC! I had no idea there was a new movie being made. Thank you so much for enlightening me. I now know I must keep myself in a bubble until May so I don't miss out on the premier. lol just kidding. But really thanks for the update and where to find the 411!

I am SO glad that I finally have a blogger friend who loves SATC as much as I do. Sometimes, I will take a weekend off and go through the whole series. AND, everytime it's on HBO, I watch the movie. Plus, I have the movie. I will quote lines with you ANYtime!

One of my favorite, "yea, sass will bite you in the a$%!"
Who said it and what episode was it?

I really hope they tell us the story about how Carrie came to the city. AND Big better not mess up this time around.

Sorry this comment is so long. It's one of my fave topics in the whole world!!!

I never watched the TV series when it was airing, but managed to watch all of it when I was home on maternity leave with John. Loved it! I will have to get myself to Blockbuster ASAP.

Bennett is sitting in my lap while we read your blog. As I scrolled down and he saw the picture of SJP with the curly hair, he said "look...it is Kara!"

Swiss Oatmeal {Copy Cat Recipe}

I'm obsessed with Swiss Oatmeal.  I particularly love   Corner Bakery's Swiss Oatmeal.  If you are not familiar with Swiss Oatmeal, it is a cold oatmeal cereal with fruit and nuts. I've had a similar recipe for years, but it was only similar.  It wasn't close enough for my liking.  So I finally set out into the land of Pinterest to find a recipe that was a good Copy Cat.  I found a few, combined them and came up with what I think is a very close Copy Cat Recipe of Corner Bakery's Swiss Oatmeal. Here's what I do (note, this recipe is really just pictures, because I don't really have measurements for these things.  The photos aren't great, but it's easier if I show you what I do)... Here's the Phase 1 ingredients...   Milk Honey Yogurt (I use a vanilla greek yogurt) Oats (old fashioned, not quick...you probably could do steel cut too)    I've simplified this to where you only need a bowl and a spoon for Phase 1 becau

Europe 2023 {Day 9 ~ Munich & Bavarian Alps}

 On Tuesday, December 20th I grabbed breakfast at the hotel and then walked about 15 minutes to where I met my tour for the day.  On my first visit to Munich, I only had time for one "day trip" outside of the city and I chose to go to Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial, but I always knew I wanted to venture down to the Bavarian Alps and see some castles on my next visit.  I had booked the premium tour and it was so fancy.  There was a snack bar and they even served beer and wine on the way home after the last stop of the day.  First stop was at Linderhof Castle. This was a "small" castle of King Ludwig's that was a partial mini-replica of Versailles.  It was a snowy walk to the castle... Interior photos were not allowed, but you can see some pics of the interior HERE Like Versailles, there are fountains and sculptures surrounding Linderhof, but they cover the statues with wood huts to protect them from the winter elements. After visiting Linderhof, we made a (to

It's all about the dress...

I mean I guess it's really all about getting married, but come on, you always anticipate the dress right?  Well holy moly folks!  Today a big secret was released to the press.  No, we still don't know which dress or tiara Kate will be wearing, but we heard for the first time that Princess Diana had a back-up dress!  Here are some of the pictures and sketches... Real dress on Left~ Back-up on the Right Here are the sketches of the back-up dress And you know what?  I like the back-up dress better than the one she wore!  I know, I know.  I'm going to get blasted for saying that, but I'll just confess it right now... My name is Kara and I've never thought Princess Diana's dress was all that and a bag of chips.  Nope.  Not my favorite Royal Wedding Dress by any stretch of the imagination.  What is my favorite?  Probably the one that Sarah Ferguson wore when she married Andrew... It had beautiful beading and stitching throughout.  Also on the train it had an &quo
