I headed West to Lubbock this weekend for a last minute trip to the game and to meet blog friends for our own little blogger convention.
I drove to Nocona on Friday evening to spend the night, leave Lola and swap cars with my Mom. As much as I love my Acura, it is getting up there in miles and probably needs to be serviced. Since Mom has a new ride, I traded for the weekend. This was my favorite aspect of Mom's new car...
You can sub this next photo in for just about every moment of my drive both to and from Lubbock...
rain, rain, rain...
We headed to the game mid-afternoon to meet another blog friend, Robin (who I had met a couple of weeks ago in Dallas).

I got to Lubbock a little after lunch on Saturday and went straight to my blog friend Courtney's house. She was allowing me to stay over for the night "sight unseen" if you will since we had never met in person.

Courtney and Jeff while tailgating...
Robin, Courtney and me...
Robin and Courtney at Robin's family's tailgating spot... That is their van, and that is the stadium. Can you say front row spot? It was awesome! Such a great time!
We had great seats at the game too. Courtney and me at the game...
After half-time. You can see the clouds all around, but we managed to not get ANY rain!
We got pretty far ahead so Courtney, Jeff and I decided to bail out at the end of the 3rd to go to Cagle Steaks, one of my favorites. It was super yummy!
Then for lunch, Robin's family had us all over again to celebrate Robin's birthday.
On Sunday, I met a girl from Nocona for breakfast and then took a tour down memory lane... my old apartment, the park where I walked Macy every day, law school, TJ Maxx, etc.

It was at Robin's party that I got to meet Ann, another blog friend (and Robin's cousin). Funny thing is that Ann was in law school one year ahead of me (along with her husband and Robin's husband), but I didn't know any of them. Ann also worked with my friend Abby. Oh what a tangled web we weave...
