Ok, so I don't really like complaining posts, but let me just say, I don't like change. Change and me, we are not friends. So you know I'm serious, let me say that I have had the exact same checking account since 6th grade. Anyway, I've had too much change in the hair dresser department over the past year. I. AM. SICK. OF. HAIR. DRAMA!
A little recap of my hair drama in case you haven't committed it to memory:
I had gone to the same lady for about 5 years. I liked the job she did, but she was a bit of a pain...partly because she had lots of clients, partly because she only worked like 2 or 3 days a week. Anyway, I had to book my appointments 16 weeks in advance to get them on a date and time that I wanted. She had moved to Sherman and I drove 35 minutes each way to continue getting my hair done. Last summer, when booking my trip to Mexico, I needed to come home on the day of my appointment that I had scheduled many, many weeks in advance. I called and explained my plight, that if I came home on the day of my appointment, I could save like $300 on my trip. She couldn't accommodate me and recommended I switch to another girl.
So I switched to another girl, initially for that one June appointment, but then I switched "for good". I loved the new girl and then 8 weeks ago, she announced that she was moving to the Houston area.
Have I mentioned that I don't like change? So I went back to the original girl. I had an appointment today and she announced that she is moving to South Texas. She didn't know if she was going to be here in 8 weeks when I would need another appointment. So I booked an appointment with the girl up front at the Salon. I picked her for the following reasons: (1) She seems really nice, (2) I recently found out that I have a case with her husband, who is an attorney and friends with my friend Abby, (3) she is suppose to have had the exact same training as my current girl and my old "new" girl, (4) she has been in that same spot since I started going to the salon in 2004, and (5) she OWNS the salon, so I'm praying for some stability.
I'm hoping that I can start going to Cathy, then she can do my hair for the rest of my life!
P.S. Today reminded me that nobody can fix my hair curly except for me, so if I die soon, please ensure that I am cremated or have a closed casket...thank you very much!
P.P.S. I got my hair majory thinned out today and I think it is possible I have lost 10 pounds! It's glorious!
