More than ever before, I'm buying people my favorite things this year. Hope they like what I like! If you still have some shopping to do for the special people on your list, these are some of my favorite things for 2011...
Kate Spade's Lacey Wallet. This zip around wallet is about the best thing since sliced bread. It has 12 card slots and tons of room for other stuff. I'm even able to keep my checkbook in one of the slots. I love that it zips, and if you want to run somewhere without your purse, it's almost like a little clutch (and you don't have to worry about something falling out). The price point is a little high... $195-$250, but if you watch for sales on Kate Spade's website, or get on her mailing list, you will find out about flash sales where you can get awesome prices.
I got one of these in Salmon color this summer and Iknow believe I'm getting a sassy hot pink patent one for Christmas from a friend!
Vera Bradley, how do I love thee, let me count the ways. You may recall that I lost my mind and bought 3 travel pieces of Vera this summer. This tote, the "Get Carried Away Tote" has been one of my favorites...
And now they have a tablet case! This is so going on my wish list!
I'm getting and giving Jo Malone fragrances this year. I'm in love with Jo Malone (and they are from London, if you were wondering).
Jo Malone fragrances can be worn alone or can be layered together. It's super addictive, and this is coming from an anti-fragrance person! I'm getting a couple of fragrances this year for Christmas and I bought my Mom some for her birthday.
I love reading about each fragrance and all the notes that go into them.
a gift card for books...
and itunes card for movies or music...

A friend just bought me this "Vera Tote" in this exact pattern for Christmas. It will be my school bag once the Spring semester starts back.
I'm getting a big bottle of this...
Nectarine Blossom & Honey Cologne
A youthful and fruity fragrance, Nectarine Blossom & Honey is inspired by the delicious scent of just-ripening nectarines and a taste of refreshing peach sorbet. Mouthwatering nectarine and peach with hints of plum, blackcurrant and vetiver are combined with the sweet warmth of acacia honey in this truly seductive combination
a small bottle of this for layering...
English Pear & Freesia Cologne
English Pear & Freesia, a scent that is inspired by a walk in an orchard and captures the luscious scent of just-ripe pears, cooled by the autumn air, ready to twist free from the tree. Experience the surprising, sensuous freshness of sweet pears, wrapped in a bouquet of white freesias, on a subtle background of scrambling wild roses and skin-warming amber, patchouli and woods.
and I got my Mom this fragrance...
Blue Agava & Cacao Cologne
Inspired by the rhythm and vibrancy of Latin music, a sparkling citrus melody of lime and grapefruit leads to an exquisite heart of the blue agava flower. A sensual blend of vetiver, cinnamon and the primitive rawness of cacao, make an unexpected and surprising harmony.
Jo Malone is a little pricey, but I love that it is unique and you don't smell like everyone else.
I got a Nook for Christmas last year. I wasn't sure if I would like reading on an e-reader instead of a REAL BOOK, but let me report that I am a complete convert. I love my e-reader! (I'm sure a Kindle is just as good as a Nook). The price has been reduced significantly this year, so you can get someone on your list (or yourself) one for less than $100 (then you could get them a Vera Bradley case!)
I've never been big on giving gift cards, but I absolutely love to get them. This year I am giving some. These are among my favorite ones to receive...
a gift card to a local theater so that I can try and see as many Oscar nominated flicks as possible...
Finally, I think movies can be a great gift.
Either a new release like "The Help"...
or an oldie but goodie...
I have "Pillow Talk" on VHS, but it is seriously time to get it on DVD. I've been eyeing this Rock Hudson and Doris Day collection.
So these are my favs for 2011! What's on your list of favorite things?
