Mother Day Ideas

You have a little over a week to get your Mother's Day gift!  If you still need ideas, here are some that I have come up with for you...

(1) Citrus Zingers

I got one of these for myself last week, and so far I love it.  It has really increased my water intake and reduced my soda intake.  I haven't made it to the store (and remembered to buy) lemons or limes yet, but I have tried strawberry water, a mixed berry water with strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries, and a clementine water.

These are a great gift and they are only $18 each, no matter which of the 3 options you choose.  I got my from Neiman Marcus (free shipping), but they have them on Amazon too.
There is a the regular one {above},
the biggie {below}, and
the sport version {below}.

(2) Kendra Scott Jewelry

I love my Kendra Scott Rayne Necklaces, but I think there are some great new options too.  These are a bit more expensive than I normally go for, but the quality is high.  I have enjoyed them a lot.

I think these smaller options are cute and dainty for spring and summer.
This is the Dylan

This cute one is the Perry
All of the KS collections come in multiple color options

I'm loving this new Sandra Pendant

(3) Fragrance

Perfume is a classic Mother's Day gift.  It's what my Mom is getting (she knows this already).  Our personal favorite brand of fragrance is Jo Malone.  You can buy it from Neimans, Nordstrom, or Jo Malone's Website.

The Blue Agava & Cacao is my Mom's fragrance

Nectarine is my fragrance of choice

BUT, I got a sample of the Peony & Blush Suede the other day, and I love it too!

(4) Kate Spade Wallet

I believe that I have professed my love for Kate Spade's Lacey wallets in the past.  They have some super cute Spring/Summer patterns right now.  I don't know how anyone wouldn't love one of these...

(5) Vera Bradley Pool/Beach Combo

If you have a Mom who likes to go to the beach or pool, then I think you could put together a really cute gift from Vera Bradley.  You could do the flip flops (I have several pairs and love them), matching beach towel (I have several of these too), and then package them in the matching, cute, and very inexpensive ($8!!!!) market tote. (this pattern is Rio)

(6) Lilly Pulitzer Accessories

Another option for cute flip flops that are perfect for the beach or pool are these that Lilly Pulitzer just came out with.  They are $32.  The ones on the left are the "Scuba for Cuba" pattern, and the right are the "Pinchers Picnic" pattern

I simply adore this tassled infinity scarf in "Feeling Tanked"

I think this Main Squeeze iPhone 6 wristlet could be a great summer accessory as well.

Finally, I want to let y'all in on the greatest thing to online shopping since Free Shipping...  Ebates!  Have you heard of Ebates?  You sign up with them (for free), and then you shop!  Anytime you want to shop, you go to Ebates first, then get to the website you want to shop through them.  If you buy something, they pay you a percentage of what you spent.  The percentage varies by store, but it's the best thing ever.  You also get credit for referring people, so if you haven't signed up, I would appreciate if you used my referral code HERE

Swiss Oatmeal {Copy Cat Recipe}

I'm obsessed with Swiss Oatmeal.  I particularly love   Corner Bakery's Swiss Oatmeal.  If you are not familiar with Swiss Oatmeal, it is a cold oatmeal cereal with fruit and nuts. I've had a similar recipe for years, but it was only similar.  It wasn't close enough for my liking.  So I finally set out into the land of Pinterest to find a recipe that was a good Copy Cat.  I found a few, combined them and came up with what I think is a very close Copy Cat Recipe of Corner Bakery's Swiss Oatmeal. Here's what I do (note, this recipe is really just pictures, because I don't really have measurements for these things.  The photos aren't great, but it's easier if I show you what I do)... Here's the Phase 1 ingredients...   Milk Honey Yogurt (I use a vanilla greek yogurt) Oats (old fashioned, not quick...you probably could do steel cut too)    I've simplified this to where you only need a bowl and a spoon for Phase 1 becau

Europe 2023 {Day 9 ~ Munich & Bavarian Alps}

 On Tuesday, December 20th I grabbed breakfast at the hotel and then walked about 15 minutes to where I met my tour for the day.  On my first visit to Munich, I only had time for one "day trip" outside of the city and I chose to go to Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial, but I always knew I wanted to venture down to the Bavarian Alps and see some castles on my next visit.  I had booked the premium tour and it was so fancy.  There was a snack bar and they even served beer and wine on the way home after the last stop of the day.  First stop was at Linderhof Castle. This was a "small" castle of King Ludwig's that was a partial mini-replica of Versailles.  It was a snowy walk to the castle... Interior photos were not allowed, but you can see some pics of the interior HERE Like Versailles, there are fountains and sculptures surrounding Linderhof, but they cover the statues with wood huts to protect them from the winter elements. After visiting Linderhof, we made a (to

It's all about the dress...

I mean I guess it's really all about getting married, but come on, you always anticipate the dress right?  Well holy moly folks!  Today a big secret was released to the press.  No, we still don't know which dress or tiara Kate will be wearing, but we heard for the first time that Princess Diana had a back-up dress!  Here are some of the pictures and sketches... Real dress on Left~ Back-up on the Right Here are the sketches of the back-up dress And you know what?  I like the back-up dress better than the one she wore!  I know, I know.  I'm going to get blasted for saying that, but I'll just confess it right now... My name is Kara and I've never thought Princess Diana's dress was all that and a bag of chips.  Nope.  Not my favorite Royal Wedding Dress by any stretch of the imagination.  What is my favorite?  Probably the one that Sarah Ferguson wore when she married Andrew... It had beautiful beading and stitching throughout.  Also on the train it had an &quo
