Happy Halloween {2018 Edition}

Happy Halloween! As with each year, I've made Lola wear a costume.  It's just for photos, but she hates it all the same!  You'd think 14 years of costumes in, she'd be used to it.   I ready something funny and it totally applies:  I let my dog live rent free all year.  She has to repay me by wearing a halloween costume. Yes!  This is my theory too. Here she is... Lola as Ruth Bader Ginsburg, aka: The Notorious RBG! "I Dissent!" Once she figured out that if she kept her head down the glasses wouldn't stay, it was all over for the glasses! "You can't spell truth without Ruth!"

Chicago {Part Two}

Part Two of Chicago begins with lunch on Sunday.  This was the time for our deep dish Chicago pizza, and we selected Lou Malnati's.  There are several locations throughout Chicago, but we selected the one on North State Street and it was in a very cute area.  I took a pic of the menu, but failed to get one of the wonderful deep dish pizza! Oh.  My.  Word!  Monday morning, we went to Wildberry Pancakes & Cafe for breakfast.

I had several cupcake places I wanted to try, but this was the only cupcake I managed to fit in.  We made our way up to the river and walked along the riverwalk.   The bridges were fascinating and Saturdays are one of the two days a week that they will raise them for boats.  We walked to our brunch spot... The Hampton Social After lunch, we took an Uber over to the start of the Magnificent Mile and shopped Michigan Avenue for a f
