Confessions of a Product Junkie {face makeup}

I always think that describing foundations and powders as face makeup is kinda stupid, because doesn't all makeup go on your face?  But you get the point, it's makeup for your whole face, as opposed to makeup for your eyes, lips, etc.

Anyway, today's installment is of face makeup that I'm wearing now.  I'm sure that you got the hint from my organization post that I've tried a makeup or fifty in my life.
I started with Clinique, went to Lancome, transitioned to MAC, then drove on over to Laura Mercier, have ventured into Chanel, Trish McEvoy, Armani, Le Metier, and Bobbi Brown.

Here's what I've been using this spring...

Right now I'm using Bobbi Brown.  I just got it a couple of weeks ago.  I also bought the moisturizer too because it has a primer in it, and I found that it really made the makeup go on smooth and helps with my super dry skin.

I wear the color 0- Porcelain, because I look like a vampire, even in the summer.  Like for real.  Some lines don't even carry a color light enough for me.  Unlike a lot of fair complexion people, I can tan, I just don't.  If I need to warm it up a little, I do so with bronzer.
I had been reading a lot about BB Creams.  I did a little research and found that Garnier had one of the best rated.  It is very pocketbook friendly, so I gave it a try and really liked it.  It's great to use when you don't want a lot of coverage.  I like to put a little powder over it and I think that finishes it off well.
No matter what kind of makeup I'm wearing, I always use Laura Mercier's loose powder.
I buy the translucent, which works great for any skin tone.

Another alternative to typical foundation and powder is a long wear powder makeup
I've always really loved the coverage and the easiness with which it goes on , but it isn't ideal for dryer skin types like mine.  I also have always preferred putting it on with a kabuki brush as opposed to the sponges they provide.
That's a rundown on face makeup that this product junkie is using!

Swiss Oatmeal {Copy Cat Recipe}

I'm obsessed with Swiss Oatmeal.  I particularly love   Corner Bakery's Swiss Oatmeal.  If you are not familiar with Swiss Oatmeal, it is a cold oatmeal cereal with fruit and nuts. I've had a similar recipe for years, but it was only similar.  It wasn't close enough for my liking.  So I finally set out into the land of Pinterest to find a recipe that was a good Copy Cat.  I found a few, combined them and came up with what I think is a very close Copy Cat Recipe of Corner Bakery's Swiss Oatmeal. Here's what I do (note, this recipe is really just pictures, because I don't really have measurements for these things.  The photos aren't great, but it's easier if I show you what I do)... Here's the Phase 1 ingredients...   Milk Honey Yogurt (I use a vanilla greek yogurt) Oats (old fashioned, not quick...you probably could do steel cut too)    I've simplified this to where you only need a bowl and a spoon for Phase 1 becau...
