Day One in Paris was much more about culture and history, whereas Day 2, well it was a bit more about superfluous activities.  I did get up early and headed out because I wanted to be somewhere when a store opened, but more about that in a minute. I started my day at Eric Kayser's, where there were loads of amazing choices... I had what became my standard breakfast in France, a pain au chocolat and Coke Zero.  For the record, it was the BEST pain au chocolat of my whole trip. I then took an Uber to Citypharma because this was my first destination of the day.  Skincare is a very serious thing in France, and this is THE place to go for discounted skincare items.  I had read, and heard, that it gets super crazy in there, so I wanted to be there early in the day to avoid some of the crazy.  My plan worked because it wasn't that crowded and I was able to look around and didn't have to "use my elbows" as someone had warned me I would have to do.  I'l...

I'm just back from a little over a week in Europe.  This time my trip was split between London (aka: my favorite place on earth) and Amsterdam, with a day trip to Bruges, Belgium.  I started the trip in London.  I flew out on Tuesday, July 10th and my flight was delayed due to a thunderstorm over DFW Airport.  I was flying to Iceland and then connecting to London, but unfortunately it looked like I was going to miss my connection to London.  I spent the first 7.5 hours of my trip in a bit of a panic, but once we landed in Iceland, they had actually held most of the connecting flights to elsewhere in Europe.  Whew!  That was a huge relief.  I landed in London a bit later than I had planned, but still had big plans for the day. Before I dive into my day, it ended up being a huge coincidence, but I landed in London exactly 22 years to the day that I first arrived in London.
