Legally Blonde's Proceedings

Happy Halloween! As with each year, I've made Lola wear a costume.  It's just for photos, but she hates it all the same!  You'd think 14 years of costumes in, she'd be used to it.   I ready something funny and it totally applies:  I let my dog live rent free all year.  She has to repay me by wearing a halloween costume. Yes!  This is my theory too. Here she is... Lola as Ruth Bader Ginsburg, aka: The Notorious RBG! "I Dissent!" Once she figured out that if she kept her head down the glasses wouldn't stay, it was all over for the glasses! "You can't spell truth without Ruth!"

Happy Halloween! This year Lola is a pupcake! There is a super cute head piece, but she looked so miserable in those pics, I couldn't even post them :-) As always, she is super thrilled to be in the costume for the 3 minutes I force her to wear it for a photo.   Poor Lola.  She got some sort of bacteria this summer that causes her saliva to stain her beard (and paws where she licks).  So she isn't shiny white like normal. "What is this thing?" ~ Lola "That's it Mom.  I'm DONE!" ~ Lola

This is Miss Lola's 11th Christmas around here, so by now, she knows the drill and is used to posing for Christmas pics.  I happen to think that she's the cutest pup I've ever seen!

Lola hates costumes, but I'm mean and I force her to wear one every year for 3 minutes while I take some pics of her.  Usually she is fine, as long as it doesn't involve too much time in a head-piece.  This year's costume, she found particularly terrible.  She hated every single piece of it. Introducing... Lolapatra! Yes, she is Cleopatra this year.  Queen of the Nile.  But I've taken to calling her Lolapatra She is not a fan of a tiara. What girl doesn't like a tiara? She is even less of a fan of the Cleopatra wig! "This is stupid.  I look stupid.  I'm done" "Seriously, let me inside before someone sees me in this gold lame get-up." Fall always seems to be the time of the year when I drag Lola outside for pictures with pumpkins on the porch.  She wasn't very cooperative this year, but I got a few cute ones... Hey there pumpkin head... We moved to the backyard where I tried to get her to cooperate with a halloween banner I had purchased.  Nope, wasn't happening... Leaf on the beard... Just let me sit in the leaves... Stay Tuned for the Costume Pics!

I decorate for most holidays, and Halloween is no different.   Time for the Kara's Halloween Decorations {2015 Edition}... The Front Entry... Just past the entry inside, there is an art niche, which has a couple of Halloween touches... The mantle and other living room decor... The breakfast room has lots of decor These placemats are new.  I loved the old ones I had, but when I saw these, they just spoke to me. The Halloween Tree I added a few new ornaments this year. These vintage looking ones.... Here you can see another of the vintage looking signs, and also the silver and also some of the new Shiny Brite mini's that were a new addition.
