Spain {Day 1 ~ Madrid}

On December 14th, I left out for Spain.  I flew in and out of Madrid, but the rest of my trip was primarily in the Andalucia region.  I was very happy to see my checked bag once I arrived in Madrid.  They forgot to scan it when they put it on the plane, so when I checked before taking off, it didn't look like my bag was on board.  Thankfully it was! I arrived about 8:50 a.m., cleared customs and got my luggage pretty quickly.  I took a taxi into Madrid and arrived way too early for hotel check-in.  They told me they should have a room in about an hour, so I didn't bother to change clothes or freshen up, I just headed out walking.  I walked the very short distance from my hotel to Puerto del Sol.  I looked around and decided I could use some food, and headed to the Chocolateria San Gines...  After a bit of a line, I got what everyone comes for...  Churros and chocolate. NYC {2019- Part Two}

After having my Friday and part of Saturday's plans turned upside down, I had a goal of keeping my Sunday plans exactly as they were.  First stop was Sarabeth's Tribeca for breakfast.  Their lemon ricotta pancakes are a must when in NYC! I then walked down to the 911 memorial and museum.  I had purchased tickets for the museum in advance.  I arrived a little early, but then let me go on in.  I didn't actually go into the museum early though because I discovered that for some reason, American sent my original bag to NYC.  It had been at LaGuardia since Saturday, but their stupid system hadn't updated that info until Sunday.  I spent a considerable amount of time in the lobby of the museum on the phone with American Airlines lost luggage hotline trying to figure out if they could get my bag from the airport to the hotel before I headed back to Dallas in less than 24 hours.
