I had been using the same makeup pretty much across the board for some time.  I've ventured out with different colors of lipstick, but stuck to my hard and fast rule of Tom Ford lipstick only.  As I watched the Royal Wedding back in May, a couple of looks stuck out to me.  First, Harry's cousin Kitty Spencer looked fabulous... and one of the others was Amal Clooney... As the information started to trickle in about who wore what designer, etc., there was a commonality between these ladies... they both were wearing Charlotte Tilbury makeup.  I hopped online and did a little research and then headed off to the Charlotte Tilbury counter.  On my first visit, I bought lipstick, blush, and eyeshadow, but I received a sample of the Magic Foundation.  I couldn't believe how much I liked this foundation, and less than a week later, I trekked back to Nordstrom and purchased some. We are less than a week out from October and I am feeling like Fall needs to hurry it the heck up!  I guess I should be grateful that the 10 day forecast appears to be in the 80's (with heat index in the 90's I assume) instead of the upper 90's and feeling over 100', but I'm too busy dreaming of cooler temps. I've geared up for Fall and I'm ready to wear something other than what I've been wearing since April.  Since we have a little way to go, I'll show you some new Fall items I've purchased for wearing now, and some for when my cooler temps really come... It's been forever since I posted a Confessions of a Product Junkie post, but don't think that means I'm a reformed product junkie!  I still love products, and today I'm sharing a way for you to get the most from your products. No matter how much I spend on the product, it makes me so mad when I see all the product left at the bottom of a bottle, or other type of container.  Now, if it's a tube the solution is easy.  Cut that tube open, and you can probably use it for days...just put it in a zip lock until you've actually used it all. So it's that time of year.  The time when I head to Neimans with good intentions of buying an item or two, and leave with my Neiman's card smoking instead.  I can't seem to help myself.  I like to refresh a couple of times a year.  I like to change it up. My first stop was at the Tom Ford counter.  Tom Ford is the God of Lipstick.  It's stupid expensive, and worth every single penny (in my opinion).  I can buy one tube and it lasts the entire season.  For fall, I purchased one of the new colors called "So Vain". On Saturday, I had a little solo-pre-birthday outing.  My actual b-day this week kinda sucks... it's my BIG day of teaching, so I'm not done until like 9:45 p.m.  No time to celebrate.  So I took it upon myself to sign up for a couple of spa treatments at Neiman Marcus curtesy of Spa Week and their $50 treatments. I made a big plan:  Get to the mall about 9:30.  Get a close parking place since it's 30 minutes before the stores open.  Enjoy a quiet breakfast at Corner Bakery.  Shop a little as soon as the stores open and everything gets crowded.  Hit the Spa at 11:00. Well, things started out a little shaky.  I absentmindedly set off my house alarm as I was trying to set it to leave.  I thought I cancelled it out, and even waited about a minute to make sure the alarm company wasn't going to call.  They didn't, and so I left.  When I got about a mile away from the house, I noticed they had called my cell, which I hadn't heard...

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?   While there is some dispute about whether the evil step mother was asking about beauty or a fair complexion, in this post case, we are definitely talking about the latter.  I went to the makeup counter several weeks ago, and you'd have thought a unicorn walked in and sat down in the make-up chair...I got "wow!  you are really the fairest of the fair!  do you plan on getting a tan?".
