Legally Blonde's Proceedings

Wednesday, December 15th, we left the hotel very early because we were headed back to Charles de Gaulle airport to fly to Italy.  After the LONG drive into the city, I felt like we had to leave plenty of time to get to the airport and of course we got there in record time.  I was worried about all the requirements to fly to Italy, but I had all our paperwork in order and everything went smoothly.  We had plenty of time to have one last Pain au chocolat! The flight was probably not even a quarter full, but they had us all crammed together in the middle of the plane instead of letting us spread out.  Our flight left at 9:10 and we arrived in Milan at 10:40.   We took a taxi to our hotel (more on that at the end of this post) and were able to get into our room early.  We then walked down to the Metro stop and bought day passes on the Metro and took it to the Duomo stop.  We walked around for a few minutes and then decided to find some lunch.  I had d...

December 14th was Day Two in Paris and also Mom's Birthday!  We got a little breakfast delivered to the room, but then decided to stop for some fresh and warm Pain au chocolat on the way to the train station because WHY WOULDN'T WE?!? Then while having our wonderful Pain au chocolat, I decided to skip the train/walk to our first destination and just take an Uber instead. The Uber got us to Versailles a few minutes before they opened.  I know it looks like we are there in the middle of the night, but our tickets were at 9 a.m. For the record, Mom was "trying not to over smile".   Later in the trip I finally said "try for I'm not torturing you". This was Marie Antoinette's bedroom.  If you look closely you can see a cut out for a door to the right of that gold piece of furniture.  This was the door she used to escape the mob (for the moment at least) when they came for the King and Queen during the revolution.
