Legally Blonde's Proceedings

We are less than a week out from October and I am feeling like Fall needs to hurry it the heck up!  I guess I should be grateful that the 10 day forecast appears to be in the 80's (with heat index in the 90's I assume) instead of the upper 90's and feeling over 100', but I'm too busy dreaming of cooler temps. I've geared up for Fall and I'm ready to wear something other than what I've been wearing since April.  Since we have a little way to go, I'll show you some new Fall items I've purchased for wearing now, and some for when my cooler temps really come... The first thing you can transition to Fall in Texas is makeup.  Yes, you may still sweat it off, but you can at least sweat off a new Fall pallet of colors.  I have far too much makeup, so I was good and didn't buy any new eye colors, but I did buy 3 new colors of my favorite lipstick in the world.  I've said it before, but Tom Ford is the king of lipsticks.  They are stupid expen...

Well, it's been hot again this week, so not exactly fall like.  But last week, my law partner's kids had a week off for Fall Break when we actually caught a break with the temps, and went to the Dallas Arboretum on a cool-ish day.  Or as 5 year old Harper says...we went to the Arburrito. There were some beautiful monarch butterflies around the plants Harper loved running around this flower bed area... For these 3 cute pics, there are like 8 more equally cute ones I'm not posting.  I really like how they turned out, so it was worth battling the bee that thought I smelled really sweet. These really made me want to plant some ornamental peppers. Pumpkin Village! Trying to kiss big brother! I guess once a little sister figures out you hate kisses, she's going to try to do it all day long! I feel like I'm missing out on so many Fall events this year, but I'm glad I got to go to...

Lola hates costumes, but I'm mean and I force her to wear one every year for 3 minutes while I take some pics of her.  Usually she is fine, as long as it doesn't involve too much time in a head-piece.  This year's costume, she found particularly terrible.  She hated every single piece of it. Introducing... Lolapatra! Yes, she is Cleopatra this year.  Queen of the Nile.  But I've taken to calling her Lolapatra She is not a fan of a tiara. What girl doesn't like a tiara? She is even less of a fan of the Cleopatra wig! "This is stupid.  I look stupid.  I'm done" "Seriously, let me inside before someone sees me in this gold lame get-up." Fall always seems to be the time of the year when I drag Lola outside for pictures with pumpkins on the porch.  She wasn't very cooperative this year, but I got a few cute ones... Hey there pumpkin head... We moved to the backyard where I tried to get her to cooperate with a halloween banner I had purchased.  Nope, wasn't happening... Leaf on the beard...
