Maine & Boston 2015 {Day Three}

I got up early on Saturday morning, packed my bags, loaded up the car, checked out of my motel, and headed to downtown Bar Harbor.  I had breakfast at a place called Cafe This Way.  It's down an alley, and there is a sign on the street that says "Cafe This Way", so that is how it got it's name. As I walked down the alley, I took some time to enjoy the spring flowers... beautiful tulips and lovely lilacs that were everywhere in the area. I had a 9:30 boat trip scheduled that was suppose to last for several hours, so I had a big breakfast since it was going to have to hold me over until afternoon.  Of course, blueberry pancakes again!  I made it a point while in Maine to have blueberries or lobster as often as possible. Once I was done with breakfast, I made my way to the harbor for my boat trip.  I was early, and then they opened late, so I ended up killing about an hour. Maine & Boston 2015 {Day Two-Part Two}

I left off my last post about Day Two in Acadia, at lunch time.  I had thought about having lunch in the park, at Jordan Pond House to be specific, but I had a list of the 10 best places in the Bar Harbor area for Lobster Rolls, and I decided to hit up one of those spots.  I left Acadia and drove into Bar Harbor.  I decided to go to Side Street Cafe.  I got the Lobster Roll (of course), and I have to say that it was without a doubt my favorite meal of the trip.  They use some spices on top of the lobster roll (which is controversial to the lobster roll purists out there), but I thought it was delightful. The Side Street Cafe is in the downtown area of Bar Harbor, so after lunch, I walked around a bit and did some souvenir shopping.  I went to a cute dog store called "Bark Harbor" that had adorable Maine themed dog toys.  So I got Lola a new toy (just what she NEEDED)!
