A calendar I love

I know lots of people calendar electronically now.  I do not.  I have a paper calendar that I use for work and everything else, but the last couple of years, I've done a shutterfly easel desk calendar .  I've really enjoyed them, so I wanted to share. Last year I did this calendar (this was a new thing last year and the selection of how many pics you wanted per month either wasn't available or working when I built mine): This year I planned to do another similar one, so I had this ready to order... but right before I ordered I saw that they had a new (or new to me) option that I ordered instead... Y'all.  I couldn't love this more.  I used pics from my various vacations and the quality turned out great!  This may seem like an untimely post, but the great thing is that you can pick which month you want to start with, so this could be something you can do anytime.   They sit on a little wooden easel like this... {Milan} I love each

Europe 2017 {Budapest ~ Day Seven & London Stop-over ~ Day Eight}

December 22nd was my second day in Budapest and the last day of my trip.  I had lots to do that day, which means picture overload...Sorry! I woke up and the sun was shining!  This was my 4th day in Budapest (between my two trips), and this was the first time I had ever seen the sun.  I was excited and headed out to walk along the Danube toward Parliament. Looking over toward Matthias Church and Fishermen's Bastion Buda Castle and Chain Bridge Shoes on the Danube Memorial There are 50 pairs of shoes created from iron which mark the murder of over 3,500 people (many of them Jews) by the Arrow Cross party police (the Nazi puppet government).  Most of the murders took place in December 1944 and January 1945.  They rounded up people from the Budapest ghetto and had them stand on the bank of the river, take off their shoes, and they shot them so that their bodies would fall into the Danube and be carried away by the current.
