Our Christmas

I know Christmas is almost a week in the rear view mirror, but I'm just now getting around to posting about it.  I'm not good about taking photos at Christmas celebrations (apparently), so I have to make due with the few I have from my camera and the rest are all iphone photos. On Christmas Eve, we went to my grandparents' house (my Mom's side of the family).  There are lots and lots of kids there.        After we got back home, it was time for a little Christmas Eve Birthday Celebration for Miss Milly.  She turned 6!! unwrapping her presents... she got a minnie mouse and a new bed  We had a candlelight church service at 6:00 (iphone pic)   We have a new pastor and had a really great service.  They rang the church bell 26 times for those who died at Newtown fairly early on in the service, so I spent the majority of the rest of the time not being a complete weepy mess.    After church we w...

Chihuly Nights

As you may recall, I went to see the Chihuly exhibit back in October.  I decided at the time that I really wanted to see it at night as well.  My uncle bought us tickets back in November to go and see it on December 177th.  A couple of days before, I texted him "What's the plan for Monday night (Chihuly)?"  I got back a "OMG!  I'm going to be out of town!".  But his wife and girls and I went anyway. It was really neat to see these sculptures in a different light (literally).  We watched a few minutes of the video they were showing, and I found it amazing that he said that each individual piece of glass has to be sculpted and molded in 4 minutes.  I guess if it takes longer than that, then the glass gets too cold to work with.  Sorry for the picture overload!
