It's Halloween!  This year, Lola is a pink and purple butterfly!   She hates it of course, but don't worry, I only made her wear it for the 3 minutes I took a couple of pics. I just realized that in this crazy busy month of October, I have neglected to post any Halloween decoration photos.  Much is the same as each and every year, which you can see HERE . Whew!  This has been such a busy, but great, birthday week!  I usually don't prescribe to the whole "birthday week" or even "birthday month" phenomenon, but this week has been the exception.  It's been busy almost each and every day with a little bit of birthday fun each day. My Mom and Dad came on Tuesday and took me to dinner at Uncle Julio's.  We had some yummy ice cream and sopapillas... I got lots of great gifts Today, I went with a couple of friends to the George W. Bush Presidential Library. I walked right out of my house and left my camera, so only iPhone photos. I loved all the tributes to their pups! and seeing dresses and china are always high on the list of things I love to see as well After the museum, and after lunch, we went to Sprinkles Ice Cream! I have lots of items on my wish list at any given time.    Here are some that are on, or have recently been on my wish list. This Kate Spade mug has been on my wish list for quite some time.  It echos my general philosophy after all.  Well cake and cookies!  Anyway, last week when I was in the Kate Spade store, I broke down and just purchased it for myself as an early birthday present.     While we are on the subject of Kate Spade....I have let it be known that I adore the "Lacey" wallet that KS makes.  My super cute red and pink polka dot one had a manufacturers defect which showed itself after a few months of carrying it, so I took it back to the Kate Spade store last week.   While in store, I spotted this adorable new wallet they had called "Glitter Bug" in rosegold. Pink & Glitter!  Are you freaking kidding me?!?  It was instantly on my wish list.     Unfortunately, they were not able to replace my polka dot one with one exactly

One of the trends for fall is definitely the vampy lip.  I saw a lipstick way back in August, that fits that trend, and I haven't been able to get it out of my mind.  After seeing an article on the vampy lip in a recent edition of In Style magazine, I made a stop at the makeup counter yesterday to purchase that lipstick I've been coveting. Here's a page from that In Style article, so you can see what the vampy lip looks like...   The lipstick I purchased, was called "Bruised Plum" by Tom Ford.    Here's how it looks on my skin I bought a lip gloss in "Natural" to go over it.  It softens it a little.   I have long been on the vampy nails bandwagon. Here are three of my favorites for achieving that look...
