A Noon Surprise

I've got a question for you... It is noon on a Monday, do you know where your husband is?

I ask this odd questions because I saw the darnedest thing yesterday! First a little background. My law partner Jennifer and her husband Kyle are about to celebrate their 4th Anniversary. Jennifer has been trying to figure out what to get Kyle for their Anniversary and had decided on a cigar lighter (apparently he has decided that he likes to smoke Cigars from time to time). There is a new cigar store in our neck of the woods, so we stopped in...on a Monday... at 12:05.

We walked in and found 6 men there, none appearing to be there with each other. They were sitting in the these black leather chairs smoking cigars. Some had coffee. Some were chatting. Some talking on their phones. Some watching TV. Some on their laptops. I never in a million years would have guessed that this is what I would see on a Monday... at noon... in a Cigar shop... in the suburbs! They had quite the set up at thsi shop too. Big screen tv's, a pool table, wine and beer on tap. Silly me, I thought it was just a place that sold cigars and the odd accessory.

I exited as quickly as possible so that I didn't end up at my 2:00 meeting smelling like I'd smoked a stogy on my lunch hour!

I hate the smell of cigars...it makes me really sick. It is one of those strong smells that you either REALLY love or REALLY hate.

Swiss Oatmeal {Copy Cat Recipe}

I'm obsessed with Swiss Oatmeal.  I particularly love   Corner Bakery's Swiss Oatmeal.  If you are not familiar with Swiss Oatmeal, it is a cold oatmeal cereal with fruit and nuts. I've had a similar recipe for years, but it was only similar.  It wasn't close enough for my liking.  So I finally set out into the land of Pinterest to find a recipe that was a good Copy Cat.  I found a few, combined them and came up with what I think is a very close Copy Cat Recipe of Corner Bakery's Swiss Oatmeal. Here's what I do (note, this recipe is really just pictures, because I don't really have measurements for these things.  The photos aren't great, but it's easier if I show you what I do)... Here's the Phase 1 ingredients...   Milk Honey Yogurt (I use a vanilla greek yogurt) Oats (old fashioned, not quick...you probably could do steel cut too)    I've simplified this to where you only need a bowl and a spoon for Phase 1 becau...
