Here's the Skinny...

There is only one darn thing on my whole entire body that is skinny and it causes me more grief than the parts that are fat not skinny.  My feet are skinny.  More problematic, the heels of my feet are skinny.  I went to multiple stores today looking for some new tennis shoes.  I need some actual new normal tennis shoes, but today I was looking more for what you would call street shoes.  A shoe that is like a tennis shoe, ie: comfortable and kind of tennis shoe style, but not so clunky and noticeable and preferably in black.  I could not find one pair to fit.

I wear an size 10 in normal shoes, but an 11 in tennis shoes.  I hit up Nike Outlet, Puma Outlet, Cole Haan, DSW, Nordstrom and even my go-to-place, New Balance.  Every single shoe I liked they either didn't have in an 11, or I was literally able to pull the shoe off my heel without unlacing the shoe (not good because that means my heel is going to slip and cause blisters).  New Balance is the only shoe manufacturer that makes narrow tennis shoes, but the really cute ones don't come in narrow widths.  UGH!  And let me just tell you that the salemen were all jack holes today.  Seriously rude, which didn't help my mood any.

I was so mad and dejected that Jennifer got on her phone on the way home and was trying to locate some shoes for me online.  Here's how that conversation went:

Jennifer:  This site has a search.  Let's see... Gender?

Me:  Apparently Sasquatch

Jennifer:  Size

Me: Boat Oar?  Is that an option?

I just don't know how I got so darn lucky that the only skinny part of my body causes me constant grief! 

And as we are speaking of bodies and body types...  These models walked the fashion runway this week.  Guess what's so special about them....

Some are "Plus Size".  Ha! Can you spot the "plus size" model?  Me either. I'd like to give the fashion/shoes industry a black eye today!

I do not see the plus sized model! I am loving the Ryka shoes I bought, but they don't come in black. I wanted a pair for myself.

I just recently bought these (don't know if the link will work?). They are charcoal color (they also have black, but I like these better!). I love them. They fit glove, don't know if they would fit you or not. I got mine at Lukes!

Nope. I can't spot the plus sized model either. Unfortunately I'm like you- the only thing skinny about me is my foot.

It's SATC Saturday Again

First, I will start you off with a little movie... Sex and the City- All the Best Moments from the Movie. WARNING : If you haven't seen the movie, don't watch this.  Oh, and also please rectify this ASAP.  Ann-  they have the movie at your local TJ Maxx for $5.99.  I meant to buy it for you when I was there and bring it to you at Robin's party, but I got distracted by lamps and forgot (sorry!).  This week has been pretty lame-o on the updates front. All I have found is that there are reports of some drama on the set between Kim Cattrall and SJP.  Of course there have been reports in the past that these two gals didn't get along (personally I think it is just because KC is a little too big for her britches and doesn't seem to always remember that SJP is an executive producer and Carrie is, well the star ).  There are also reports that SJP is possibly a little overwhelmed with having the two new twin girls and little James Wilkie to take care of...

A Blogiversary Giveaway!
