Fall at the Arboretum

I went to the arboretum yesterday with my friends Lisa, Jennifer and Abby.  Not that there is one photo of any of us to prove it!

There are 50,000 pumpkins, gourds & squash at the Dallas Arboretum.  I doubt there is a variety of any of those that wasn't represented...

White Pumpkins...

Big Fat Pumpkins...

A river and lake...

Technically, it was called Swan Gourd Lake...
The swans...

The various pumpkin huts represented different places from Cinderella.

The white pumpkin one was the ballroom...

This was inside the ballroom...the glass slipper...

The flower garden...

I was a little disappointed that more mums weren't in bloom, but here were some that were...

This was one side of a little bridge.  There were misters watering ferns on the other side, but the mist was drifting under the bridge and made this side look very Halloween spooky...

After the arboretum, we went to Northpark and had lunch at Neimans.  Then I bought my birthday present at the mall (stay tuned for details).  After the mall, Abby & I went by a house in Dallas that always has the most fabulous holiday decorations.  Here are some of their Halloween decorations...

Then we made a stop by Gigi's and got some cupcakes!

We hit up a shopping center a little closer to my house for some Vera Bradley and Anthropologie shopping before eating dinner at Uncle Julio's while watching the World Series.

Woo-Hoo for the Texas Rangers pulling it out in the 9th inning for a perfect ending to a perfect Fall day!

Europe 2024 {Day 10 ~ Munich, Germany}

On December 22nd, I departed Salzburg train station at 8:00 and arrived in Munich at 9:40.  The station is under construction and a real mess!  I finally made my way out and found it was really raining.  I made my way to a taxi and took it to my hotel.  My hotel room wasn't ready but they kept my bags for me and I headed out.   I have been to Munich a couple of times and wanted to see a couple of things I haven't had a chance to do before.  I planned to to go to the Nazi Documentation Center first since it was raining, but when I looked it up on my phone to double check the hours, I learned they had just closed for renovations.  So rain or not, I was going to have to head out to Nymphemburg Palace.  I took the tram out and then walked to the palace. I don't know why, but I didn't take many pictures on the inside. I also bought a ticket to the Royal Stables Museum which houses lots of coaches. I really found all the sleighs to be a sight to see, bu...
