Back with the living and a party!

Yesterday I got back to the land of the living.  I finally felt better.  Not 100% by any stretch, but better.  I was glad about this for a variety of reasons, but one important reason was that I had a party to attend.  Little Joshua was turning 4 (or will be on December 8th) and he was having a Cars birthday party while he had some family in for Thanksgiving.

Here's the invitation...

I found the idea on Pinterest for a race with the car's characters.  Jennifer made cars for all the kids out of cardboard boxes.  She did an excellent job!  Here's the Birthday Boy in Lightening McQueen...

His cousin Anson in Mader...

Little Harper in her birthday cupcake outfit...

The party set up...

Cake...

Cupcakes...

The goody bags and Piston cups for the race winners...

Some of the food...

There were several races held...

One with the parents even...

After all that racing, it was time for some cake!

But first, you've got to blow out the candles...

Then the birthday boy has to lick the icing off of the cars...

Present time!
Finally, Joshua got a pillow pet (the finally would be his thoughts on the matter)...

Pinata time...

I'm glad I was able to make it to one of my favorite little guy's party!  I came home and watched the Tech game (ugh...).

Today, I have managed to start on Christmas decorations.  I have the mantle done, the nativity out and a few other things.  I haven't even started on my four trees yet.  Anyone want to come help?

Europe 2024 {Day 10 ~ Munich, Germany}

On December 22nd, I departed Salzburg train station at 8:00 and arrived in Munich at 9:40.  The station is under construction and a real mess!  I finally made my way out and found it was really raining.  I made my way to a taxi and took it to my hotel.  My hotel room wasn't ready but they kept my bags for me and I headed out.   I have been to Munich a couple of times and wanted to see a couple of things I haven't had a chance to do before.  I planned to to go to the Nazi Documentation Center first since it was raining, but when I looked it up on my phone to double check the hours, I learned they had just closed for renovations.  So rain or not, I was going to have to head out to Nymphemburg Palace.  I took the tram out and then walked to the palace. I don't know why, but I didn't take many pictures on the inside. I also bought a ticket to the Royal Stables Museum which houses lots of coaches. I really found all the sleighs to be a sight to see, bu...
