24- My Week with Marilyn (want to see.  probably on Apple TV)
25- The Artist (I'm on the fence)

My friend Billy came over for a late lunch. I grilled some filets and made bake potatoes.  I also made a Cream Corn with Green Chilies, because corn is one of like 2 veggies that Billy will eat.  It was really good.  I found some fresh corn at Whole Foods, so I shucked it on Saturday afternoon...

Then I cooked it up yesterday...

It is super yummy.  Here's the recipe if you are in the mood for some yumminess...

Cream Corn with Green Chile

8 ears fresh corn, husked
2 hatch green (Anaheim) chilies, roasted, peeled, seeded, and diced
1/3 cup white wine (I used an extra splash)
½ stick of butter (I actually used about an additional 2 Tbsps of Butter)
6 oz. Philadelphia Cream Cheese
Salt & Pepper to taste

Boil the corn until tender (about 12 to 15 minutes.)  Let the corn cool and cut the kernels off the cob.

Sauté corn and white wine over medium heat until wine is reduced by half.  Add salt & pepper and green chile.  Reduce heat to low. Stir in butter and cream cheese until incorporated. Serve immediately.

* My uncle made this at Christmas and it seemed thinner in consistency.  I'm wondering if he added some cream or half & half to it.  I bet you could if you thought it was too thick.

Oh my goodness - that corn looks SO GOOD. It makes me ready for summer when Ohio sweet corn shows up at our farmer's markets. YUM.

I have only seen 2 of those movies! (the help and harry potter) I really, really want to see Midnight in Paris. Is it any good?

something is seriously wrong with that list seeing as Rango is on it. it was seriously one of the worst movies i've ever seen. ever. however, really liked both of the Kung Fu Pandas. (can you tell i only get to see kids' movies?!)

Swiss Oatmeal {Copy Cat Recipe}

I'm obsessed with Swiss Oatmeal.  I particularly love   Corner Bakery's Swiss Oatmeal.  If you are not familiar with Swiss Oatmeal, it is a cold oatmeal cereal with fruit and nuts. I've had a similar recipe for years, but it was only similar.  It wasn't close enough for my liking.  So I finally set out into the land of Pinterest to find a recipe that was a good Copy Cat.  I found a few, combined them and came up with what I think is a very close Copy Cat Recipe of Corner Bakery's Swiss Oatmeal. Here's what I do (note, this recipe is really just pictures, because I don't really have measurements for these things.  The photos aren't great, but it's easier if I show you what I do)... Here's the Phase 1 ingredients...   Milk Honey Yogurt (I use a vanilla greek yogurt) Oats (old fashioned, not quick...you probably could do steel cut too)    I've simplified this to where you only need a bowl and a spoon for Phase 1 becau...
