Who doesn't love to fly Southwest Airlines?  Aside from being the airline that takes me to NOLA, they let me check my bags for free.  Enough said.  I don't want to complain, but... Dear Southwest, The most exciting thing I've ever encountered on your flight is getting Honey Roasted Peanuts instead of regular peanuts.  Why can't you hook me up on a flight like this next time? The Titanic has been making the headlines again since today is the centenary of its sinking.  We were discussing this at my Mom's house this past weekend, and she left the room and came back with this gem... I guess I remember seeing it before, but didn't look into it that much (which is very unusual).  We think this was my two times great grandfather's book... It appears to be 100 years old as well... I plan to carefully give it a read.

The best time to take a drive through Texas is in the Spring when wildflowers paint the landscape.  While traveling to Nocona on Sunday, I noticed that the wildflowers seemed to be extra pretty this year. After lunch on Sunday, Mom and I headed out with the dogs to get some Bluebonnet pictures.  We were on the side of the road, so we only took one dog out of the car at a time for safety reasons.  I wish they didn't have to have the leashes in the pictures, but you know I wasn't going to unleash them for any amount of money. Lola went first.  She was a pretty good poser... Then it was Millie's turn.  She is anything but a good poser... Then we went down the road a bit further and I took some landscape photos.  This is the aptly named, "Bluebonnet Hill".... Some closeups...

At Easter, there are always lots of treats to go around.  Treats for my 'tween cousins, Lola and Millie of course, and my parents(though their basket isn't pictured for some reason). Lola seemed to like her treats. A new bone and a new toy (Tramp as in Lady and the...) Hope you had a Happy Easter!

If you live in, or are planning to visit, the DFW area, you should take the time to visit the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth. They are currently hosting "The Age of Impressionism: Great French Paintings from the Clark". Though it isn't only French works, they all come on loan from the Sterling & Francine Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Massachusetts. I've gone to many similar exhibits in the past and often they are a bit of a let down, but with 72 paintings including 21 Renoirs, 6 Monets, 7 by Pissarro, rounded out by several by Manet, Degas & Sisley, this is anything BUT a let down.
