First World Problems

You know, when it comes down to it, most of our problems really are First World Problems.  I tackled one of my first world problems this week.  It's one that I've been needing to tackle for some months (or more likely, years).  Let me back up...

Way back in the spring, I had a real nagging need to clean out my dang closet.  It was overwhelming.  I kind of thought I needed help, both physically and emotionally.  The problem was, my friends who live close were all moving, and it was never the good time to say, "Hey could you come help me de-clutter my closet?".  So instead, I packed up about 3 trash bags full of clothes and hauled them off to the Goodwill.

Now cut to Monday morning...  I walked into my closet, couldn't find a dang thing to wear, and felt the weight of the clutter weighing down on me.  I had to go to court to take care of something first thing, then I had to go back to court for some 1:00 hearings that Jennifer was suppose to be doing but was unable to do because she was wrapping up a mediation.  As soon as I was done with those detention hearings, I called Jennifer and said, "You HAVE to come to my house and help me.  See you in 15 minutes.".  She came, and we conquered.

We pullout out a TON of clothes.  Seriously, I could have clad an entire small country in Ann Taylor suits & tops, Gap jeans and t-shirts, and the odd cleavage bearing evening gown.  In additional to clothing removal, I worked a demolition project into the mix when I decided that a poorly placed shelf and clothing rod that kept the highest rack of clothes from hanging right, just had to go.

Here is the pile of clothes that came out...

It filled up the entire back of my SUV!  I wish I had taken a before photo of the closet, because honestly, I don't know how the heck it all fit in there.  There is still a lot of organizing and straightening that could occur, but at least I can find things now.  And probably the most warped piece of this whole puzzle?  Yeah, this is my closet POST clean-out...

All bad iphone pics, but you can get the drift.  Holy moly!  That's still a bunch of clothes!

P.S. Thanks for the follow! Have a fabulous weekend!

Europe 2024 {Day 10 ~ Munich, Germany}

On December 22nd, I departed Salzburg train station at 8:00 and arrived in Munich at 9:40.  The station is under construction and a real mess!  I finally made my way out and found it was really raining.  I made my way to a taxi and took it to my hotel.  My hotel room wasn't ready but they kept my bags for me and I headed out.   I have been to Munich a couple of times and wanted to see a couple of things I haven't had a chance to do before.  I planned to to go to the Nazi Documentation Center first since it was raining, but when I looked it up on my phone to double check the hours, I learned they had just closed for renovations.  So rain or not, I was going to have to head out to Nymphemburg Palace.  I took the tram out and then walked to the palace. I don't know why, but I didn't take many pictures on the inside. I also bought a ticket to the Royal Stables Museum which houses lots of coaches. I really found all the sleighs to be a sight to see, bu...
