4th of July Decorations

I really do love decorating for the 4th of July, and luckily, it is one of the easiest holidays to decorate for.  The first step is to buy a bunch of flags and stick them all around.  I have them in all my potted plants, both in the front and back yard.

For the most part, everything is the same as in previous years.  This year, I didn't have enough ambition to get out the ladder and staple gun and put the bunting above the door.
Those 3 metal flags are a new addition, and I always love uncle sam being the greeter.
The USA firecrackers are new also.

For the inside, I made a new banner to go with the mantle decorations.
I purchased flag fabric a couple of years back and never did anything with it.

I was finally inspired by this garland that Pottery Barn was selling this year to make my own.

I bought some rope and started creating my own garland.
I think total cost for the project was less than $6!
I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Europe 2024 {Day 10 ~ Munich, Germany}

On December 22nd, I departed Salzburg train station at 8:00 and arrived in Munich at 9:40.  The station is under construction and a real mess!  I finally made my way out and found it was really raining.  I made my way to a taxi and took it to my hotel.  My hotel room wasn't ready but they kept my bags for me and I headed out.   I have been to Munich a couple of times and wanted to see a couple of things I haven't had a chance to do before.  I planned to to go to the Nazi Documentation Center first since it was raining, but when I looked it up on my phone to double check the hours, I learned they had just closed for renovations.  So rain or not, I was going to have to head out to Nymphemburg Palace.  I took the tram out and then walked to the palace. I don't know why, but I didn't take many pictures on the inside. I also bought a ticket to the Royal Stables Museum which houses lots of coaches. I really found all the sleighs to be a sight to see, bu...
