A Royal Wrap-Up

What a brilliant & glorious day!  Could it have been any more perfect?  Here's a Royal Wrap-Up: After approximately 3 hours of sleep, my alarm sounded at 2:50 a.m. and I sprung out of bed to brush my teeth, put up my hair, and go wake my guests.  My friends Lisa and Suzanna were spending the night, and we all began watching the coverage at 3:00 a.m, and there were some friends communicating via Twitter and Text messages, and my Mom on e-mail too.  I'll get to my thoughts about the good and bad in a minute, but first, let's talk about my Royal Watch Party! Here's a look at the accommodations that I provided my guests for the night... In addition to my guest bedroom, I rearranged my office and brought in the trundle part of my daybed Not the prettiest, but this way everyone had their own room. Both guests found that I had left two very important things for the next morning on their bed... a copy of the official programme... and of course, a tia

Looking into a crystal ball, I see a vacation in my future!

I'm going on a vacation!  Where am I going?  If you had told me 4 days ago that I'd been going there, I'd have told you that you were crazy.  I haven't really had any desire to go there, but here's how it all played out... My uncle has these Hyatt points that can be used at the Hyatt Vacation Clubs.  He offered points to me, so I looked online and found that I was in love with this resort in Sarasota, Florida, which was right on the beach.  It appeared that the resort was available, so I got super excited about going on a vaca when I hadn't thought I'd be going on one this year.  Then this morning, I discovered that just because the hotel has reservations available, that doesn't mean it has reservations for people using Club Points.  Then I decided that I was too sad to give up a vaca that I now had my heart set on it.  I did a search for other locations... I mean 7 nights away is 7 nights away, right?  Especially, if the said 7 nights were free.  So

Easter 2011

Easter 2011 = Food, Food & More Food!  Yesterday my grandmother cooked a huge lunch for everyone.  I caught a ride with my uncle and his family.  My grandma made lots of great food, including her annual bunny cake... After lunch the little kids hunted eggs... Everyone else went out to my granddad's lake to fish, but I went on to Nocona to visit with my other grandparents.  We got back to Dallas right at dinner time, so we stopped at Taco Diner and had some yummy fajitas (because clearly we needed MORE food!).  My uncle's wife, Kati, bought me a box of cupcakes at a new cupcake spot in Dallas called Gigi's... They are so cute with the bunnies, chick and a crown.  They are really good too!  It's hard to have too much icing, but these kind of do.  I just lopped off some and they are perfect!  I tried a vanilla last night and had the strawberry for breakfast.  Yum-O! As I was leaving their house last night they asked what I had planned for today.  My answer of
