Peace

Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me...

Well maybe not peace on earth, but I'm trying to achieve peace in my backyard...

between this adorable creature...
and all the vermin that wonder in and out (out if they are lucky).

What am I doing to achieve this peace?

With today's purchase of the rat at Ikea (pictured center), we now have a stuffed version of everything she likes to chase and kill. I'm hopeful that she will come to think of these as her friends and not attack them in the yard. However, since she instantly went and grabbed the rat, shook it and threw it to the ground (her killing technique), I'm not sure if my plan will work.

I'm just trying to achieve world peace one back yard at a time!

I think you just bought her some practice dummies. Although that may keep you from having to "finish the job".

That is so funny that Abby said that because I clicked on the comments and was about to say the same :) This could backfire on you and she might use them to perfect her techniques !!!

Europe 2024 {Day 10 ~ Munich, Germany}

On December 22nd, I departed Salzburg train station at 8:00 and arrived in Munich at 9:40.  The station is under construction and a real mess!  I finally made my way out and found it was really raining.  I made my way to a taxi and took it to my hotel.  My hotel room wasn't ready but they kept my bags for me and I headed out.   I have been to Munich a couple of times and wanted to see a couple of things I haven't had a chance to do before.  I planned to to go to the Nazi Documentation Center first since it was raining, but when I looked it up on my phone to double check the hours, I learned they had just closed for renovations.  So rain or not, I was going to have to head out to Nymphemburg Palace.  I took the tram out and then walked to the palace. A Blogiversary Giveaway!
